Unofficial No Man's Sky companion app helps name discoveries

Hello Games doesn’t seem to have any plans to create a companion app for No Man’s Sky, but a community member has stepped up to the mark.

No Man’s Sky Ally is the work of Reddit user aleator83, and is available on both Android and iOS. The app provides inspiration for naming planets and creatures, and can also be used to upload screenshots from your PS4. The game looks beautiful, so you may be getting trigger happy with the screenshot button.

The app also acts as a journal. It logs where you discovered certain elements and keeps tabs on how much you can expect to earn from selling them. So once you find yourself a profitable trade, you could stand to make plenty of money pretty easily.

No Man’s Sky Ally is available from the App Store and the Google Play Store.
