It's still pretty surprising that a sequel to Homefront actually exists, after the original game pretty much sank without a trace back in 2011. And it's all the more unlikely due to the serious issues which plagued development as the rights shuffled from one publisher to another.
Anyway, Homefront The Revolution is actually happening and it has a pretty interesting, if depressing, set up. The war has been lost and most of the USA is now under the control of the Greater Korean Republic. That means the only hope left is a small band of Resistance fighters, which is where you come in. As a limited force without the means and manpower of the military you'll have to use very different tactics to survive this new guerilla war.
Your weapons are homemade and ramshackle and your fellow soldiers are few. But you're fighting for your very homes and lives and that could made for a very dramatic and emotional campaign if all the elements come together properly. The modular weapons system looks like a great addition and there are plenty of accessories for taking the fight to the enemy.
The game is due for release in May 2016, so look for more info soon.
