So we weren't lucky enough to be out at the Far Cry Primal preview event which so many sites seem to be writing about this morning, but we have got the first extended gameplay video of the upcoming game.
Primal is the latest game in the series but one that will be taking players to a very different place - before the dawn of recorded history. You'll play as a Stone Age fellow struggling to survive in a world with deadly things at pretty much every turn. That means a new attitude to guns and no cars, but plenty of other things to keep you entertained.
Check out 10 minutes of gameplay from Far Cry Primal with some narrated comments from Jean-Christophe Guyot, creative director and Maxime Beland, creative director at Ubisoft Toronto.
It all looks pretty cool, and also totally like Far Cry. You have the familiar elements like taking down an enemy stronghold and even sound cues for achievements which are the same as in the other games. Mammoths double up pretty well for cars too.
The beast taming element is new and adds a lot to the game, especially as you can call different creatures for different situations. As with any Far Cry game it looks like there's a huge amount to do in this open world and it's going to be exciting to see those features being revealed over the next few months.
Far Cry Primal is set for release on PS4 and Xbox One in February 2016.
