Watch Dogs Players Will Lose Out on Content If Playing Offline

Watch Dogs isn't out until the 27th of May and all review outlets are embargoed until then. But those rules don't apply to everyone.

A good number of gamers received copies of the highly anticipated title ahead of release when they were shipped early from retailers. And because of that plenty of information has started to leak out online.

Information from a very early review at wccftech.com talks extensively about the online modes and reveals that players will be penalised for taking their game offline. While you're connected, other players are able to invade you game at any time - similar to the gameplay in Dark Souls. If you want to avoid that happening, you'll also lose any skills progress you've made in the games online component.

Now given that the game is currently not on sale, there's a chance that this issue might be resolved with a day one patch but at the moment, and with the information that we have, it seems like an unfair level of punishment for those who might want to relax and enjoy the single player element.

What do you think?
