Watch Dogs surpasses Ubisoft's day one sales record
Ubisoft announced that Watch Dogs has sold more copies in its first 24 hours of going on sale than any other Ubisoft title.

While specific numbers were not provided, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot praised the work of the team and said that this record is even more impressive as the game does not belong to an established franchise. He said, “It's great to see so many players enjoying the game, and it shows that Watch Dogs has cracked the code for developing a new blockbuster IP and a thoroughly new-gen experience." Of course, it’s likely that Ubisoft plans to make Watch Dogs an established franchise.

Guillemot added, “Watch Dogs is an amazing achievement and our teams should be proud that the creativity, innovation and long hours they invested in making this game are paying off.” Our review marks it as one of the most enjoyable open world games to date, but it’s not without its flaws.

Are you one of the people that have contributed to Watch Dogs’ day one success? What are your thoughts on the game?
