Watch the red carpet premiere for Beyond: Two Souls at the Tribeca Film Festival
Ellen Page and David Cage will present all new footage to the world
Movies and games collide as Beyond: Two Souls heads to Tribeca.

The latest game from Farhenheit and Heavy Rain developers Quantic Dream features an all star cast on a visually stunning adventure which mixes Hollywood level production value with the interactivity and emotional depth we’ve come to expect from David Cage.

Fitting then that the game will gets its own red carpet premiere, with the cast and crew showing off an hour of footage from the game live and also partaking in a Q&A with fans at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York this week.

The cast is lead by Oscar nominated star Ellen Page, who will be on hand to take questions from the crowd. “This has been a really intense and exciting experience for me, and one that I am extremely proud of. I’m excited to see everyone’s reaction to the extended scene we are going to be screening – and to feel the powerful emotion that DavidCage instils in all his games.”

It’s the first time a game has been selected to screen at a major film festival and is a sign of how far the medium has come, partly on the back of the success of 2010s Heavy Rain which further broke down the barrier between regular media and the interactivity of video games.

Other members of the cast Kadeem Hardison and Eric Winter will also be on hand, alongside creator David Cage (read our interview) but fellow lead WillemDefoe won’t be there for this unveiling: "This is a momentous event both in the world of gaming and in the history of the Tribeca Film Festival. I wish I could be there on the night of the exclusive showing of a part of the game - it'll be an exciting event. BEYOND: TWO SOULS tells a beautiful story and the players can wholly participate in each scenario and choose the characters' action. This game is unlike any project that I've ever been involved with before."

If you want to be a part of this moment in gaming history, you can watch the live stream of the event below – including the Q&A and a chance to see all new footage from the game. The stream will be live from 7pm PST on Saturday the 27th of April or midnight GMT.

Beyond: Two Souls is coming exclusively to PS3 from the 8th of October 2013.
