Bethesda has today announced the decision to move the worldwide release of forthcoming first person shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order up to May 20th to align with the North American launch date. Original plans for the game's launch were to follow the traditional pattern of a Tuesday release in North America followed by launces later that same week in the various other territories, however to ensure that everyone can get into the action at the same time, there'll be no preferential treatment for anyone!
Wolfenstein: The New Order launches on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC, and represents the first major reimagining of one of the most importantseries' in gaming history in quite some time. Originally teased towards the end of last year before being officially announced, iit's hoped that the game can capture the same great mix of dark humour and FPS action as the originals.
More good news comes for anyone planning on pre-ordering the game, as they'll be granted access to the closed beta for the eagerly anticipated new Doom title, which has dropped the 4 suffix from its monicker... which perhaps makes it seem like it'lll be a reboot, but nobody seems to know for sure. There's no real indication of anything on that end yet, but we're sure we'll be hearing more about it in the near future!
