XCOM 2's console release is being pushed back by three weeks, meaning it'll now arrive on September 30.
Take-Two president Karl Slatoff made the announcement during the company's quarterly earnings call. The reason given for the delay was to ensure that "the game is fully polished at launch and meets the team's high standards."
There will be a standard and digital deluxe edition for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the latter of which includes all the DLC that was released for the PC version thus far.
Slatoff also mentioned that XCOM 2's PC release will be supported with free and paid DLC following the release of the console edition.
