Who needs other humans? Not me - that's why the news that I can play Evolve entirely offline and alone (ALONE!) sounds like sweet music to my lonely ears.
You can jump into the game on your lonesome in pretty much all of the game modes, here's how a solo match looks from the perspective of the monsters and the puny humans.
It's great to hear that achivements and points earned in solo play will carry over to any online activity, hopefully making it easiser for players who aren't quite as skilled to get a little leg up with some alone-time practise. It's also a good way to get some experience with the different human playable classes, as you can leap between characters at will.
Of course, the game really comes alive when you're playing with other humans, creating your own stories of monster mayhem as the hunters become the hunted and then everyone dies because someone did something stupid. Usually someone called Jeff. Stupid Jeff...
Evolve is on PS4, Xbox One and PC from the 10th of February 2015.
