You Won't Be Able to Buy a Physical Copy of Dying Light on January 27th

Last week we reported on a rumour that Techland's zombie-parkour title Dying Light was going to miss its launch window- we've since learned that isn't quite true but it's not all good news.

An official statement from Techland has confirmed that the game will be available digitally worldwide on the 27th of January 2015 but that the physical release will be delayed in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia.

That's a much bigger issue than the rumoured French delay speculated last week, and suggests some major manufacturing mess up on the part of publishers Warner Bros. The better part of the news is that everyone now gets the game on the same date (Europe was previously dated for Jan 30th) and you won't even have to leave your homes.

Of course digital pricing isn't always the best, and you can't trade in an older title to get some money off. Right now the game costs €49.99 on Steam, €69.99 on PSN and €69.99 on Xbox Live.

Get the game on the 27th of January 2015.
