questionable piece of promotion fades such past glories into distant memories...
But on the other hand,
Nintendo must demo the advantages of their new system somehow. And when as much occurs on the
Wii U’s gamepad as does onscreen, the typical selection of gameplay footage just won’t cut the (English) mustard!
ZombiU, the only real IP for the
Wii U that’s non-traditional (i.e. doesn’t have
Mario or
Nintendo in the title) and fresh (isn’t a
Wii U convert of a pre-existing series), has been enjoying mixed reviews to date, raking in an admirable 70 on
Metacritic. Praise has been levelled for an ambitious twist on standard regeneration while criticism for limited narrative and uninspired combat has marred the final product.
