Chris O'Dowd made his Broadway debut last night in the preview of the stage adaptation of John Steinbeck's 'Of Mice and Men,' starring alongside fellow Hollywood actors James Franco and Leighton Meester.
Overseen by Tony Award-winning director Anna D Shapiro, the story tells the tale of migrant field workers George and Lennie who travel through California trying to find work during the Great Depression of the 1930s.
There is no surprise to see hilarious banter between the two actors. In a recent interview with The New York Times, O'Dowd jokes about his expectations of working with Franco for the first time: "He's 90 percent less stoned than I was expecting. Also, I knew he'd be really smart, but he's proven me wrong every day with that!"
'Of Mice and Men' is scheduled for its official opening on April 16.
