Batman star
Christian Bale visited victims of the Colorado cinema shooting that took place during a screening of The Dark Knight Rises.
The actor visited the Medical Centre of Aurora early on Tuesday and spent two-and-a-half hours visiting victims and talking to doctors and other personnel involved in the rescue effort.
Bale, who was accompanied by his wife Sibi Blazic, spoke to seven of the victims and also posed for pictures with the injured and hospital staff.
He is seen above with Carey Rottman, who was shot in the leg. Bill Voloch, the hospital’s president, said: "It was good for the patients. We hope it was therapeutic for them, and all the staff really appreciated him coming."
Bale also visited a memorial set up for victims of the shooting near the cinema where it took place.
