George Michael was sentenced to eight weeks in prison in 2010 after he crashed his car into a photography shop while he was under the influence of drugs. In a recent interview with BBC Radio 2, Michael explained how he rarely left his jail cell and that the experience of prison was what helped him change his life.
"I was put in with the paedophiles and the bullies. I didn't leave my cell very much in those few days... From the day after that crash happened, I started in drug couselling, none of which I made public," Michael explained.
His experience in prison also inspired eight new songs, the singer explained, and he has since stopped using cannabis, swapping the drug for 'Coronation Street.'
