Top model Georgia Salpa has revealed she ignored warnings to stay away from playboy Calum Best. The 26 year old opened up about their failed romance for the first time to reveal she phoned up the playboy to finish their relationship after he was snapped going home from a party with Donna Air. But the beauty said she was very happy with her celebrity boyfriend when they first got together on TV3ís Celebrity Salon.

She said: "I'm single. We were a very happy couple for the whole time we were together. Unfortunately things happened that we're not together anymore. I was just like any other girl when you fall for a guy and all your friends are going 'Jaysus what are you doing?' You don't see because you really like the guy. Our relationship was totally normal. We would text each other all the time and hang out all the time." But she said on the Saturday Night Show that she phoned him to finish their romance after seeing him pictured in a taxi with Donna Air.

She said: "Obviously it was bit harder for me because I found out by waking up in the morning and seeing the paper and seeing that. It was a bit difficult. I just broke it off. We're fine now. We're friends now. Weíre OK. "Calum is a lovely guy, deep down. He is a really nice person. Weíre still friends but weíre not together anymore."

The beautiful Dublin girl also revealed that she only works for one hour a day in photocalls around the capital. She said: "You could be modelling with an inflatable banana or a bikini. You're just there to promote a product and you can only do one a day. I work for an hour a day. "For the rest of the day I'm ringing up annoying my friends to go for lunch because I'm always hanging around. You have to make them a bit sexy. They let you know the day before and tell you to bring runners or whatever . I style most of them."

And the brunette, who is now branching into TV, said she is earning a good living as Irelandís top photocall model. "I'm buying a house next year. I've got a few things going on at the moment." In the interview on the Saturday Night show, the model also insisted she has never had any plastic surgery. She said: "I got over the boobs thing when everyone was saying the boobs were fake and now it is the lips. "My lips and my boobs and everything are real. My Mom and my two sisters are all skinny with big boobs. My family are just like that." She said she is now branching out into clothing and eyelash lines after moving model agencies. She said: "I moved to the Andrea Roche agency and she's more like a manager and we're branching out and doing loads of different things. I've started a clothing line and I've got eyelashes coming out in February. "I'm doing the panto at Christmas. I'm playing the queen in Sleeping Beauty."

The Republic of Telly returns to RTE Two tonight at 9.50pm.
