Irish comic Graham Norton has admitted he fears going to this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Azerbaijan because he is homosexual.

The Cork funnyman (48) also admitted that he’s concerned about his health when he visits the country’s capital Baku for the event, which kicks off on May 22, reports Adam Lacey.

When pal Maria McErlane suggested on his BBC radio show that authorities wouldn’t let him into the country because of his sexuality, Graham replied: “Well, I’m not telling them.” Although homosexuality was decriminalised there in 2001, gay people in Azerbaijan are still said to suffer oppression and harassment.
