We haven’t got a name for our new Belgian Malinois but we’re calling him our personal protection dog for now
EuRomania kicks off...
Hey guys, we start our campaign to win the Eurovision tonight when we perform on Romanian TV!
It’s going to be our first time in Romania but it’s not the first time we tried to go there.
Our mam and dad and Kevin, our brother, and us went to Bulgaria on holidays once and we went on a drive to Romania.
We didn’t get there because they stopped us at the border and someone didn’t have a passport or visa or something like that. This time no one’s going to stop us at the border and we’re going to appear on national TV! We’re going to perform on their Song for Europe contest and we’ll be performing Waterline for the first ever time outside of Ireland.
Then we might even be going to Moldova for their Song for Europe show tomorrow night but we don’t know for sure yet. And then we’re going to go to all the other countries around Europe where we haven’t been before!
We don’t ‘Dinck that he’s past it
It’s not cool that people are complaining about the UK Eurovision Song Contest entry, Engelbert Humperdinck. Some people are saying he’s too old at 76 — we’re glad he’s old because we hope we can sing in the Eurovision again when we’re that old. No one is too old for the Eurovision!
We didn’t know who he was so we googled him to see him and we saw that he wears eye-liner and his voice is really different. Our mother thinks he’s great and she has his records. But hey, Mr Engelbert — she’s our number one fan, not yours!
Woof ‘n’ jeddy for new pooch
Hey everyone — we’ve got a new dog! He’s a Belgian Malinois — which is a kind of Belgian Shepherd dog. Our brother Kevin is a really good dog trainer and he’s training him to be our personal protection dog. How cool is that? He’s four months old and he’s got a black nose and a gold coat and gold eyes and he’s going to grow up to be a big dog.
We bought Milly our boxer a new hoody top so she wouldn’t feel left out. We have lots of dogs now — Milly and Max and Nero too. We haven’t got a name for our new Belgian Malinois but we’re calling him our personal protection dog for now. He’s going to deal with any crazy people who come to our house — like Enya stalkers!
A hair-racing experience
Guys — you all missed us running this week! We love running but we’ve been away for so long that we haven’t done it properly for ages and ages. So earlier this week we put on our singlets, shorts and hats and we ran from Lucan all the way to O’Connell
Street in Dublin.
Even though we haven’t been running in ages, we knew that mentally we could do it — and we did! We ran all through Chapelizod and through the Phoenix Park and then we jogged to O’Connell Street. No one even recognised us under our hats.
Then we went to the movies like crazy people in our singlets and shorts — it was freezing.
Afterwards we took a taxi home and had ice cold baths to get rid of lactic acid from our run. But then the water from the bath leaked into the kitchen — that was a bit crazy. So we have to have showers from now on.
We’ll miss our cool grandad...
Our grandad, James Grimes, sadly died this week and we just want everyone to know that he was a totally cool grandad. He was very, very old but he had all his own hair right up until the end. We hope our hair is going to last as long. He never drank alcohol in his whole entire life either — he had one of those pioneer pin things you wear — and me and John never drink either.
We saw him quite a lot even though he lived in Limerick and we live in Dublin. He had lots of daughters but he only had one son — our dad — so me and John and our brother Kevin are the only ones who will pass on the family name. Our granddad had a heart of gold — just like me and John — so we’re going to miss grandad.
