Joker Jerry Seinfeld has expressed his shock at the Irish financial crisis.

The 57-year-old American was speaking with Today FM presenter Ray D’Arcy on his show yesterday in the lead up to his live performance at Dublin’s O2 in May.

Jerry said: “I heard Ireland did so well with so many IT companies that came there. Where did all that money go?”

“It was squandered by successive governments and bankers,” Ray said.

Jerry replied: “I am so sorry to hear that.”
