TV presenter
Laura Whitmore was honoured to get the chance to carry the Olympic Torch at the weekend ahead of the London games.
Laura ran with the torch on Sunday morning and had to get up extremely early to be ready for the relay.
She said on her blog on website her.ie : "My alarm clock went off at 3am on Sunday morning - an ungodly hour that should only be experienced coming home from a night out, not as a wake up time.
"With 3 horus sleep, which is not enough for me, believe me, my MTV producer Gareth and I headed to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. I was preparing to take part in a little thing called the Olympic Torch Relay. I don't think I was prepared for what an emotional morning it would be.
"I ran just before 9am and the streets were lined with crowds of people who'd been there since the crack of dawn. I didn't fall, I didn't drop the torch and I didn't set anything on fire. Gareth was worried my ponytail could of been a hazard."
