Actor Macaulay Culkin last night slammed reports that he has just six months to live — and insisted he is not addicted to heroin.

Reports began circulating yesterday that Home Alone star Culkin (31) was hooked on a deadly cocktail of heroin and painkillers.

It was said that close pals fear that his addiction will kill him.

A rep for Macaulay told reporters last night: “The reports claiming Culkin is addicted to heroin and assorted hallucinogenics is not only categorically without merit, but it is also impossibly and ridiculously fictitious.”

The reports claimed the former child star, who had been a close friend of late King of Pop Michael Jackson, had turned his New York apartment into a private drug den.

It was also alleged he forks out up to $6,000 (€4,900) a month on pills and regularly shoots up heroin.

Friends also claimed he nearly overdosed recently and said he needs “serious help”.

“Macaulay Culkin is hooked on drugs and it’s killing him,” a source close to the actor said.

“He’s been hooked for a year and a half, and his drug of choice is either heroin or oxycodone. Mac is surrounding himself with junkies and lowlifes. It’s a real tragedy.”

The explosive claims, which have been strenuously denied by lawyers representing the actor, appear in the National Enquirer.

Insiders told the US mag his life spiralled out of control when he split from actress Mila Kunis (28) — now dating actor Ashton Kutcher (34).

His reported career downfall has also been blamed on his alleged battle with addiction.

A pal who claims to have seen his drug use said: “He is surely dying... I have witnessed his drug taking, which has escalated over the past year and a half to the point where he needs serious help.”
