Former Westlife star
Nicky Byrne has said he won’t “rule anything out” amid rumours he will star in
Strictly Come Dancing.
Nicky (33), who is hoping to get into a new career in TV presenting, insisted his future is still undecided.
“I’ve had lots of different meetings but there is nothing in stone,” he said.
“I want to stay in the entertainment industry as it’s all I’ve ever known.
“Mainstream TV presenting with big shows and shiny floors is where I want to be. It’s all meetings, meetings, meetings — the clever thing is not to rule anything out. If somebody wants to meet you on something, who knows if you might fancy it.”
However, Nicky said he hopes that he won’t have to move from Ireland for work.
“I’d hope not to because I’ve always seen Ireland as my home,” he said in the new
RSVP Magazine. “Myself and [his wife]
Georgina had a dream about living in America years ago but that’s not really on the agenda. Our two little boys are starting school here so I’d like to think that Ireland is where I’ll stay.”
Nicky is reportedly in advanced talks with Strictly bosses.
