Operation Transformation leader Grace Batterberry was left in tears when Kathryn Thomas revealed that she had lost just half a pound this week.
Bubbly Grace, 32, and fellow leader Natalie Cox, 24, failed to reach their weight loss targets on the show and it was very upsetting for Grace who has also given up cigarettes.
She said: "It's one of those things. I worked really hard and it just didn't pay off on the scales. I can see it big time in my clothes and last week I didn't and I was down eight pounds.
"I was really disheartened and seem to be coming around today and I have to watch it tonight. I'm really gutted.
"I wish I could say I had smoked twenty fags, eaten a big pizza and drank a bottle of wine but unfortunately it didn't go that way for me. It just didn't work.
"I was confident getting on the scales but it didn't work out that way."
Grace, from Castletownroche, Co Cork, isn't sure why she didn't reach her target but reckons that it could be something to do with eating late or the way her body reacts to a diet.
On previous diets she has found that she didn't lose much weight on the second week and her friends at home are also experiencing the same thing.
She said: "I really was really upset I only lost half a pound. There's nothing I can do about it. It's the way my body is reacting because it's not from eating chocolate.
"It's always been the case with me on the second week, I never do as well on a diet. They are doing a support group for me here in the village and it's happening there as well. Everyone is working really hard and it's not showing on the scales. They can see it in their jeans. It's weird.
"The only other thing is I was eating late. Cause of my cigarettes, I was my doing my walking in the evenings because of the boredom and sitting by the telly. Maybe it was that."
Grace's father has enjoyed huge success on the diet as he has so far lost 1st 8lbs and she is extremely proud of him. She has found it tough to quit cigarettes but it determined to break the habit.
She said: "The cigarettes was my hardest. It's desperate. My addiction to cigarettes. I absolutely love my cigarette. I found it really hard. I really didn't want to give them up. I wanted to cut down but there was no giving up for me.
"Like giving up your Taytos or your chocolate. Your lifestyle is totally changed and having the cigarettes on top of it I found it really, really hard.
"I haven't had a cigarette in two weeks now. I won't say it has been easy because it hasn't. But if I had a puff of a cigarette now I would feel like the biggest failure ever."
Grace currently weighs 14st 11lbs and to date on the show has lost 12.5lbs. Her weight loss target was 2lbs. Natalie currently weighs 15st 10lbs and lost 1.5lbs this week bringing her total weight loss to 9.5lbs. Her target was 3lbs
