Fr Ted star Pauline McLynn has insisted that her marriage is rock solid after she was hit with fake internet rumours that it was in trouble.
Pauline, 49, and her agent husband Richard Cook are happily married for the past 15-years and recently adopted two pet cats.
She said: "Myself and Richard are rock solid, I have to say, he's brilliant so it's all fine. We adopted two cats and why would we do that if things weren't great? We wouldn't have been let have them if we were having a broken home. They wouldn't have given them to us.
"I don't mind it for me but I would mind if my family were bothered and it's nothing to do with them, any of it. Richard is fine, we're grand."
Pauline was concerned that her family would be dragged into the media storm and believes that her mother was approached by it. And she pointed out that it had nothing to do with anyone except herself.
She said: "I was worried my family would be involved because it has nothing to do with them. It had nothing to do with anyone except me really, and any attention should be on me and no one else.
"I think my mother was approached, somebody said something to her, and she said 'oh, for goodness sake' and walked away.
"We're great. I am happily married and very happy. There are times when I'm away a lot and Richard travels a lot as well. So there are long periods where we don't see one another. But we're very happy."
Pauline also spoke about about an incident when she was photographed without her wedding rings and that it was simply because she had fake tan on.
She added: "There was this big thing that I wasn't wearing my wedding rings but that day I had false tan on, and as any woman will tell you, that means you take off the jewellery. That's why the rings were off. There was a big 'why am I not wearing wedding rings' but that was the actual reason: false tan."
