Top model Pippa O’Connor and her presenter husband, Brian Ormond are off the guest list for the wedding of TV3 star Alan Hughes this Friday.
The couple, who were expected to be among the celebrity guests, are instead jetting to New York where Brian is working with the National Lottery.
Ireland AM star Alan is set to tie the knot with his partner of 17 years, Karl Broderick, with a wedding bash for friends and family on Friday.
The couple are holding a civil partnership ceremony in the Unitarian church on Dawson Street in Dublin followed by a glitzy reception in the Mansion House.
Pippa and Alan became firm pals when they were both starring in Celebrity Salon earlier this year.
However, Alan has also invited his other co-stars on the show including former Miss World, Rosanna Davison and top model Georgia Salpa as well as her ex-boyfriend, Calum Best.
Many of TV3’s stars including Glenda Gilson, Karen Koster and Sinead Desmond are also expected to attend the bash.
Alan and his partner, who announced their engagement in April, have hired a wedding planner from Gotcha Covered to help smooth the way.
The pair got engaged after songwriter Karl sprung a surprise proposal on stunned Alan while he was filming Celebrity Salon.
The wedding is taking place on the 18th anniversary of their meeting.
Alan has also been chosen to present TV3’s new game-show Family Fortunes.
