Bee Gee Robin Gibb was hailed as a medical miracle yesterday by doctors — who admitted they had given up on saving him.
Surgeons in a London hospital said they had told the pop legend’s family that further treatment was “futile” as he languished in a coma.
But Robin (62) — who is battling colon cancer — is now breathing on his own and is able to chat with his wife and children.
Last night, Gibb’s doctor Andrew Thillainayagam praised the stricken star’s “fighting spirit”.
He added: “The road ahead remains uncertain but it is a privilege to look after such an extraordinary human being.”
