Pint-sized popster
Ronan Keating has revealed he failed to get a role in film director Peter Jackson’s latest blockbuster
The Hobbit — because he was too tall.
The singer turned aspiring actor — who is said to be 5ft 9in — said he read for the role but was turned down because he wasn’t small enough.
Boyzone star Ronan (34) said: “I read for The Hobbit but I was too tall. It was for a similar role to Orlando Bloom in Lord Of The Rings, an Elf Warrior,” he explained. But Ronan said he was looking forward to the release of his debut film
Goddess, which will be showcased at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
