Late Late Show presenter Ryan Tubridy is about to follow in his late pal Gerry Ryan's footsteps with a new TV series of celebrity interviews.
Ryan (38) is stepping out with a copycat series of in-depth celebrity encounters similar to his late pal's show, Ryan Confidential.
Tubridy has interviewed stars including Hollywood actress Glenn Close, celebrity chef Marco Pierre White and Gate Theatre boss, Michael Colgan for his new series called The Trinity Sessions. It is seen as a career move that mirrors previous TV series fronted by his late pal Gerry Ryan and former Late Late Show presenter, Gay Byrne.
Gerry made his mark on TV with a series of celebrity interviews with stars such as Colin Farrell, Michael Flatley and Tubridy’s latest interview - Marco Pierre White - on Ryan Confidential. Tubridy even interviewed Gerry in one episode of the series called Ryan Tubridy's Ryan Confidential.
RTE star Gay Byrne made his RTE TV comeback with two similar series including The Meaning of Life and For One Night Only in which he interviewed well known public figures.
