Singer Sinéad O'Connor has dramatically dumped plans to divorce her hubby of 16 days after he turned up on her doorstep for a night of passion.
The Irish singer (45) revealed that fourth husband Barry Herridge (38) - who she split with on Christmas Eve had returned to her house and asked her to be his girlfriend. But less than 24 hours after the pairs passionate reunion Sinéad will jet off to LA today.
The Dubliner proudly announced on Tuesday night: “Spent beautiful evening of love making with nine (sic) other than husband! Who turned up angelically we decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend.”
Referring to Barry as a “big hairy cave man” who came to claim her with his club, the 45-year-old added that she didn’t care who might take issue with their getting back together, having walked away from the youth drug addiction counsellor just 11 days before.
“Yay!!! we decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend again an stay married but we did rush so we gonna return to (boy)friend (and girl)friend an be sickeningly happy an go counselling an move in in like a year like regular people.. but stay married an we all in love an f**k each other,” she wrote.
Asked by one of her fans on her Twitter page is that meant the divorce was off she replied: “Yup
that's wot it means. An I can add to my lingerie collection. Size UK 12 btw for anyone wanting to send any. 36b. :)”
Sinéad and her Barry yesterday emerged from her home in Bray together yesterday afternoon. The couple popped out for a bite to eat after their first night back together in the same bed. The two casually strolled down the street arm-in-arm to her local eatery, the Martello Hotel, for an hour-long lunch.
Neither were willing to comment on the dramatic u-turn in their love lives yesterday. But the pair were all smiles as they re-emerged from the hotel lovingly snuggling into each other in front of waiting photographers to return to her two-storey home.
Barry took on his first household chore of the day when he helped the star drag her unattended to wheelie bins up to the side of the house, where they stopped to embrace each other in a hug before the beaming duo headed back inside.
With just a few precious hours together ahead of Sinéad’s trip to LA today, the loved-up couple were out and about again yesterday evening when they were spotted hopping into a taxi together.
Sinéad yesterday said she intended to bring Barry to the panto, after the singer was personally invited by Linda Martin to go as her guest after Sinéad apologised to the former Eurovision singer for labelling her a ‘granny’ and accused Martin of “harassing” O’Connor in a case of mistaken identity via Twitter.
Following the split, Sinéad gave an interview admitting she had been handed Class A drugs after taking drug-counsellor Herridge on a marijuana hunt on their wedding night.
The Irish singer said her fourth marriage was in trouble from the start and the wild search on the mean streets of Las Vegas and “intense pressure” led to their eventual split.
The couple met online four months ago after Barry responded to a plea by unlucky-in-love Sinéad asking for potential suitors to come forward. They married on December 8 in a quickie wedding at the famous Little White Chapel in the Nevada state.
