Rihanna looked devastated yesterday as she made her way to the funeral of her beloved grandmother in Barbados.
Dressed in black, the tearful Umbrella singer emerged from a chauffeur-driven limo with her head down and hair covering her face.
The 24-year-old has been devastated since Clara “Dolly” Braithwaite lost her cancer battle last week.
And she shared her feelings yesterday with her fans on
Twitter.
She posted a snap of herself make-up free and holding what appeared to be a bottle of beer. With heavy bags under her eyes, the singer looked absolutely exhausted.
She appeared to be standing in her hotel bedroom, wearing a simple white vest. She captioned the photograph: “I had to!!! Sorry granny!”
Rihanna attended Dolly’s first funeral and wake in New York at the end of last week looking visibly upset. She then jetted to London for her appearance at last weekend’s Wireless Festival in Hyde Park where she still managed a smile — and dazzled the crowds with her performance. Immediately afterwards she flew to Barbados for the second funeral, a local tradition.
