The Rolling Stones have postponed the remainder of their tour of Australia and New Zealand to support Mick Jagger after the tragic death of the singer's long term girlfriend, designer L'Wren Scott. While fans will be disappointed, the band has promised to return at a later date and finish the tour.
The British rock band posted a message on their Facebook page apologising to fans for cancelling the tour and explaining that they are there to support Jagger through this extremely difficult time. The message read: "As a band we are one big family and we've all come together to support Mick, and will do everything we can to help him."
Guitarist Keith Richards posted a personal message saying: "No one saw this coming ... Mick's always been my soul brother and we love him ... we're thick as theives and we're all feelign for the man ... we really hate to disappoint our fans but we'll see everyone really soon."
Earlier this week, Jagger himself spoke out about the tragedy of the loss of his "lover and best friend."
