Over the weekend, film star Jonah Hill got into a spat with a photographer which ended with the actor using a homophobic slur.
Now Hill, who has been vocal in support of the gay community in the past, has appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show to talk about the incident and give an apology which is unusually frank and sincere for this often fake industry.
It's refreshing to hear that he doesn't expect people to forgive him but the apology itself feels quite heartfelt. The timing is a little unfortunate, especially as there's a plot thread in upcoming movie 22 Jump Street literally dealing with the use of casual homophobic slurs. Not to mention the fact that the entire film is about a particularly intense bromance.
So what do you think of his apology?
22 Jump Street is in cinemas from the 6th of June 2014.
