You would be hard pushed to find someone falling off their chair at the news Simon Cowell has finally had enough of loud-mouth previous X Factor winner James Arthur and sacked him from his label Syco Records. It’s been a while coming given the recent controversy surrounding the singer. One look at his Twitter account and you’ll have as much insight as you need to know the guy isn’t going to be given a medal for his oration skills for a start.
Having won X Factor in 2012, Arthur has been called “his own worst enemy” by insiders following a frequent litany of twitter rants and outbursts attacking his own PR team among others. Smart. A source told The Sun ''It seems James is self-destructing. He has done himself no favours with his outbursts. It's as if he's almost willing Syco to drop him. Simon and Syco have been extremely loyal to James throughout his problems but there's only so much they are prepared to put up with. It feels like the end of the road for him at Syco. James has been his own worst enemy”.
According to sources, the final straw were lyrics which referred to terrorists. His track “Follow the Leader” includes the line “I’ll blow up your family like I’m a terrorist”.
