Stan Lee is a pretty incredible man. He started at Marvel (then Timely comics) in 1939 and worked his way up from the lowliest postion, eventually going on to create his own characters at just 19. Later he became known for the likes of Fantastic Four, Hulk, Thor, Iron Man, the X-Men, Daredevil, Spider-Man and the team up of The Avengers.
After more than 70 years in the business, he seems to be just as spry as ever but we've just got word that he won't be making it to Comic-Con in 2014. Apparently, the 91 year old has lost his voice due to laryngitis and can't come along this year.
The statement from his publicist states that otherwise Stan is in good health and "is disapponited to miss the event and wishes everyone a great time".
Stan Lee might, himself, be some kind of superhero.
