Tarzan is back in an action packed new take on the classic story this week, and it's a quiet enough time at the cinema otherwise.

The Legend of Tarzan
It's time for the legend to return, with an all new tale based on the stories by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The man who once was Tarzan ventures back to the Congo and soon falls into a deadly trap with his wife Jane. Starring Alexander Skarsgård and Margot Robbie, this comes from Harry Potter director David Yates.

The Neon Demon
The director of Drive and Only God Forgives, Nicolas Winding Refn, is at it again with a vicious side swipe at the fashion industry. It earned jeers and cheers at Cannes and features a young model venturing into a deadly, and drop dead gorgeous, world. With Elle Fanning, Jena Malone, Keanu Reeves and a panther - obviously.

Maggie's Plan
Greta Gerwig seemingly still isn't fed up of being called and 'indie darling' as she's back with another low budget flick. This time she's a New Yorker (shocker!) who gets into complications when she falls for married fella Ethan Hawke after getting a sperm donation from someone else. Julianne Moore totally steals this show.

Showing exclusively at the Light House Cinema from the 8th of July, this acclaimed documentary takes a penetrating look at the life of Anthony Weiner while he was running for the office of Mayor of New York in 2013. And then another scandal hit. It's uncomfortable and riveting material.
