Marvel unleashed their full slate up to 2019 on the world last week, and it was glorious.
A full 9 featues were revealed, including new episodes for favourites like Thor and Captain America, as well as first showings for Black Panther and Captain Marvel. But undoubtedly the biggest news was that The Avengers will return in a massive two film arc, spanning a couple of years and bringing them into direct conflict with the one known as Thanos.
Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 will coming in 2018, with Infinity War Part 2 set for 2019. The title refers to the stones which Thanos mounts on the Infinity Gauntlet, essentially turning him into a god. And with the entire universe at risk and two massive movies to look forward to, you can expect plenty of heroes to show up - maybe even including some Guardians of the Galaxy favourites.
And there's more good news, while these two films won't arrive in the United States until May of each year, Irish audiences will get to see them sooner. Infinity Wars Part 1 premieres on the 27th of April 2018, with Infinity Wars Part 2 coming on the 26th of April 2019. Here's an early teaser which was leaked.
Great news for fans of great cinema, and its even better to know that we only have to wait a little over six months before Avengers: Age of Ultron smashes into cinemas.
Age of Ultron is out on the 24th of April - also earlier than the US!
