Award-Winning Irish Film A Nightingale Falling Getting a Theatrical Release September 12th

A Nightingale Falling is set in Ireland during the War of Independence and deals with the lives of two sisters who take in an injured Black and Tan soldier and their lives are suddently changed utterly.

It is based on the book by P.J. Curtis and frames the tale of love and loss against the wider backdrop of the struggle between the Irish freedom fighters and English forces. With strong direction by Garret Daly and Martina McGlynn, the film is a stunningly realised period drama that's rooted in our history.

The film recently nabbed the prize for Best Feature film at the Sky Road TV & Film Festival and is now getting the wider stage it deserves asits a stunningly realised story. The film will open at 14 cinemas around the country on September 12th:

Starring Tara Breathnach, Muireann Bird and Gerard McCarthy, A Nightingale Falling is in cinemas across Ireland from the 12th of September 2014.
