So, the sequel to 2013's Man of Steel has just started production in the US. And it's also finally got a name. Bear witness to:
BATMAN V SUPERMAN:
DAWN OF JUSTICE
And the official logo is above.
The film sees Henry Cavill returning in the role of Superman and Clark Kent and the film will be directed by Zack Snyder - who brought explosions and dollar signs to Man of Steel - which earned over $650 million on a $225 million budget.
Also returning from Man of Steelwill be Diane Lane, Amy Adams and Laurence Fishburne - so we'll presume there's more Daily Planet times planned, though how the city of Metropolis has been rebuilt is currently unknown.
And for the first time, Supes will be joined on screen by Bats. Just a few short years after The Dark Knight Rises, we've got a new iteration of Batman, with Oscar winner Ben Affleck taking up the mantle last worn by Christian Bale. Other new additions include Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jermey Irons as Bats' butler Alfred and Holly Hunter - we don't yet know who she's playing.
Israeli lady Gal Gadot is also new to the cast and she's currently in ridiculous amounts of training to embody Wonder Woman.
Chris Terrio (Argo) is writing the script, based on story ideas from Zack Snyder and David S. Goyer and the film will shoot in Detroit, Africa and the South Pacific over the next few months.
Story details are scarce but the presence of Batman and Superman suggests there might be some elements taken from Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns which sees an older Batman returning to wage war in a ravaged Metropolis. That story saw him face off against Superman.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is in cinemas from the 6th of May 2016.
