Batman's costume colour scheme to return to comic book roots
Ben Affleck’s costume in the upcoming Batman vs Superman movie will resemble that adorned by our caped crusader in Frank Millar’s comic The Dark Knight Returns, according to Kevin Smith.

Speaking on his podcast, he attempted to reassure fans that, despite the monochrome shot previously seen, the colour version is blue, yellow and grey. This colour scheme is closer to that used in The Dark Knight Returns. Smith said, “If you want to see what this … suit looks like, you just go to Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, go to the third book, Hunt the Dark Knight. It's the exact … outfit he's wearing."

Smith added that the suit is like nothing seen on film, a point that Affleck's wife, Jennifer Garner, hinted at earlier this year. She previously said that it was a “total reinvention.”

Batman vs Superman will hit cinemas in May, 2016. The film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
