Red carpet “prankster” Vitalii Sediuk jumped the barricade at the premiere and managed to make contact with Pitt before being dragged away. Pitt seemed to be unharmed by the incident and resumed signing autographs shortly afterwards.
Sediuk was booked on suspicion of misdemeanour battery in lieu of $20,000 bail. This isn’t the first time that the 25-year-old has caused trouble on the red carpet and at Hollywood events. Last week, he put his head up America Ferrara's dress at the Cannes premiere of How to Train Your Dragon 2, and he previously rushed Bradley Cooper and Leonardo DiCaprio in two separate events, charged the 2013 Grammys’ stage before Adele could accept her reward, and attempted to kiss Will Smith onthe lips on the red carpet at the Men in Black 3 premiere. Sounds like someone needs to learn what a prank is...
A spokesperson for Disney said, “This was an unfortunate and inappropriate incident that is being investigated by the LAPD.” Meanwhile, a CAA representative for Pitt spoke to TheWrap and said that there were no more details to share at this point in time.
If Sediuk is that good at getting to events and blagging his way in, he should have just gone to watch the movie. It certainly surprised us, as our review shows.
