Liked the Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World scores? You'll love this news...

Brian Tyler, the man who provided the wonderful scores for both Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World last year, has been confirmed to be onboard to serve up the aural goodness for the forthcoming The Avengers: Age of Ultron, set for release next summer.

Originally reported by Film Music Reporter, the news will be music to the ears of those who enjoyed Tyler's previous work (which also includes The Expendables and the Fast and the Furious series'), but it also means that he'll now become almost synonymous with the Phase 2 soundscape, with just Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Gauradians of the Galaxy featuring the work of different composers.

Even more interesting is the fact that, out of the twelve movies released or confirmed for release in the Marvel cinematic universe to date, Tyler is the only composerto return multiple times, suggesting that Marvel Studios view the level of cohesion provided by a single composer as hugely important to the overall feel of the movies.

In other Age of Ultron releated news, it has been confirmed that the movie will be released in IMAX when it launches in May of next year, ensuring the ultimate movie-going experince once more, as it tries to outdo its predecessor and become the highest grossing box office hit of all time.
