Chloe Moretz to stop making movies

Chloe Moretz to stop making movies

Chloe Grace Moretz is 19 years old and has been acting since the tender age of 7. 12 years on, she's appeared on stage and small screen, and popped up in more than 40 movies.

It's no surprise that she's taking a break. The actress announced over the weekend that she's dropped all upcoming roles for very good reason:

"So I pulled the plug on all my movies because I want to reassess who I am and find myself within my roles again. I’m realizing that I can slow down."

This includes pulling away from a lead role in Disney's live action remake of The Little Mermaid, the latest in the studios updating spree which includes a new take on Beauty and the Beast early in 2017.

That doesn't mean she's taking it easy though, with The Hollywood Reporter saying that she's still going to be doing some producing, and also has a couple of TV shows that are in the development stage.

Having lived her entire life in the spotlight, it seems like a very good time to take a step back for her own sake, and also to give audiences a chance to see the talented young actress in a new light.
