Stephen Spielberg is currently directing a biopic of the United States of America’s 16th president, Honest Abraham Lincoln.

Living legend and acclaimed method actor, Daniel Day Lewis takes the titular roles and the first official image has been unveiled by Entertainment Weekly.

The film is set to focus on the political tension between Lincoln and his cabinet during his quest to abolish slavery and conclude the Civil War. Based on the bestselling book ‘Team of Rivals’ by Doris Kearns Goodwin, Lincoln is set for a November 9th release.

Lamentably, Vampires and shotgun-axes are unlikely to feature.
