Deadpool 2 is still going ahead, but without director Tim Miller.
That's sad news but the filmmaker isn't taking some time off, instead getting stuck into a number of new projects. That includes one called Influx which will see him working with 20th Century Fox again.
Now there's news that Miller is also involved with a very hot property which has been in the works for years- a big screen outing for Sonic the Hedgehog!
Sony has had the rights to the story for years and they're putting the pieces together with Miller as executive producer. Taking the helm will be Jeff Fowler- with the two previously working together at Blur Studios. If you don't know they name they've made some of the best CG shorts and cut scenes of the last decade.
We're hearing this will be a live action CG movie aimed at kids - no surprise there. It's been a long time since Sonic had a major game released, but that probably won't matter too much when it comes to how popular the character remains.
More news as we get it.
