Released in a lovingly restored print with Dolby Stereo sound, Andrei Tarkovsky's epic 1966 feature came to prominence after it won the prestigious FIPRESCI Award at the 1969 Cannes Film Festival. This 189-minute version of the film, which was apparently endorsed by the director himself, traces the life of iconic 15th century Russian painter Rublev, who used the canvas to express his self-doubt and insecurities.
