Visually stunning documentary, which traces the roots of surfing (connected so vividly with the sunshine and beaches of America) to Ireland where some of the bravest riders come each year to surf the ferocious waves that pound the Emerald Isle. Beginning with a potted history of surfing and George Freeth, who took the art of riding a length of wood to California, Waveriders meets some of the biggest names on the professional circuit and follows the young men and women who search for the ultimate adrenaline rush in a tube of raging saltwater.
