Eddie Murphy has been lined up to star in the sequel to 1988 comedy
Twins in a title that is imaginatively called
Triplets. Twins featured
Arnold Schwarzenegger as a genetically perfect test tube baby and his less-than-perfect twin brother played by
Danny DeVito. Murphy is set to appear as their long-lost brother.
The film is in its very early stages with word out that a script writer is yet to be hired. DeVito and Schwarzenegger are attached to the sequel with original director,
Ivan Reitman, set to produce rather than direct this time around. 24 years have passed since Twins was originally released; can the comedy remain relevant and will pulling a long-lost sibling out of thin air provide a winning formula?
