I think Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis could be the holy trinity of comedic front ment. They strike an almost chemical balance. Sure, with the possible exception of Batemen, none of them are the best in the biz at what they do. But as a trio they are considerable to say the very least.
So I’m not sure what WB has them doing this shit for, AGAIN.
I have no beef with Horrible Bosses. But even this ninety second teaser looks tired and drained of material. Sure, it’s a thrill to see Kevin Spacey back. But it’s a cheap thrill, coz who doesn’t like a bit of Kevin Spacey?!
No, Horrible Bosses 2 already seems like the blatant cash cow it was always going to be. One would hope the first glimmer of footage would make you forget this, however momentarily. But I’m less convinced than ever.
Which is a damn shame as I have every faith in Bateman, Day and Sudeikis could deliver the goods once again with a brand new not-stale IP. Ah well. It’s good to see Motherf*cker Jones back on the case, at least!
