The man behind the madness is all set for a third installment
As
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance heads for screens on the 17th of February, we caught up with co-director
Mark Neveldine for a chat and couldn’t help asking him about the rumours surrounding a third Crank film.
So is one going to happen?
“100 percent. We talk about it all the time; Jason [Statham] and I were on the phone just a month ago, trying to figure out when our schedules can work,” said
Neveldine.
“Lakeshore really wants to do it, Brian and I want to do it, Jason wants to do it, Amy [Smart] wants to do it, Dwight [Yoakam] wants to do it. We’re just going to figure out what the story is. We’ve had 50 ideas, I think we’ve got it down to about 10 now and yea, we’re totally going to do it.”
Crank’s hero Chev Chelios has previous dealt with a deadly poison that will kill him if his heart rate drops and the inconvenience of having said heart robbed and replaced with the equivalent of those own brand AA batteries you always got at Christmas. Oh, he also tends to die at the end of the films. So what could he possibly go up against next time? Our moneys on aliens…
Neveldine wouldn’t be drawn on the rumours that
Crank 3 will shoot in 3D but he had plenty to say on
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.
