While the John Carter Super Bowl Spot was a bit miserly in the new footage department, this TV Spot, aired during the premier of ABC’s The River, remedies that oversight in most spectacular fashion!

With vibrant shots of laser beams, holographic maps, sword fights, more holograms, crashing spaceships, mastadonic sets, shapeshifting dudes and single bounds the size of tall-buildings, Disney might have one of 2012’s hottest properties on their hands in John Carter.

Personally, I have but one legitimate concern. John Carter struts his half naked stuff with a giant Martian sword in hand. In itself, this is grand. In fact, I’m into it. Giant swords; who wouldn’t be?!



However considering the conservative PG 13 rating, I don’t expect to see too many hacked off limbs flying about the shop. The typical solution is choppy editing. And THIS, I’m considerably less into...

Of course, since Martian blood seems to be blue, JC may be no more constrained by his film’s rating as he is by his new home’s gravity.
