First Sky Road TV and Film Festival Comes to Galway in September 2014

There's a new film festival in town with the Sky Road TV & Film Festival coming to Clifden, Co. Galway in September 2014.

The aim of the fest is to showcase the best of Irish film, TV and new media. Chairman Eamonn O Cualuain commented: "We are delighted to announce details of the inaugural Sky Road TV and Film Festival! Our aim is to give Irish filmmakers a better opportunity to screen their content at festival level. If you have a new documentary or film in post production, Sky Road is the festivalto screen it.”

There will also be a focus on training, with a host of workshops and classes including plenty of hands on experience in the likes of Cinematography, Acting and Editing. It's all about bringing new blood and energy into the thriving film and TV industry in Ireland, stimulating more growth and creating a forum for creatives to come together.

The festival will be accepting submissions from the 15th of July and you can find out more on the official site(which is static at the moment) or head to their facebook page here.

The first Sky Road TV and Film Festival will be held from the 5th to the 7th of September 2014.
